We had Nadia as a server and she was the absolutely sweetest. She treated us like family and took such great care of us! She's been working here for 6 years and it shows, she absolutely needs a raise. Central Michigan University loves you!!!!
In my opinion, Country Kitchen serves the best breakfast in Tallahassee. There is a wide variety of choices and I have had each one. The servers are both friendly and attentive. Don't worry your coffee will not run out. As soon as you walk in the door you'll discover an ole timely gathering spot that welcomes everyone to come in get some great food and conversation.
It's down home cooking! Nothing fancy here but it's as close to southern Mama as it can get! They close at 2:00 so be there or you can't get in cause they are busy getting the evening dinner ready! Bring a smile and a hardy appetite the girls taking care of you are awesome!

Country Kitchen is a no-frills type place that serves up southern style food in an ambiance that is fitting for a restaurant that serves up southern comfort food. Our server was extremely friendly, helpful and had that southern server persona that only enhanced my overall experience. I went with the fried pork chop and for my sides, I went with turnip greens and rice with gravy. They also gave a choice between corn bread or garlic bread. Be warned the garlic bread is basically white bread, but it was still good and my pork chop and sides were very good. Also, the burgers looked good as they were coming out and the next time that I am here, I will probably try their cheeseburger. Country Kitchen keeps the menu simple, but that does not mean that the food is not very good. I will give here five stars and it definitely earned my recommendation.
Came here for breakfast. Ordered spinach omelette with home fries and hubby had grits with 2 sunny side eggs. Food and service were both excellent! Ambience real southern! I
Ate here last week...... Very good Southern Breakfast! The Chopped Steak & Gravy were prepared perfectly. Juicy and Medium like I like it. The Biscuit was the highlight. So much buttery and doughy goodness. Egg Whites & Grits were standard. The other person in my party had the Hot Chocolate and French Toast. They enjoyed it very much. The service was stellar. Our server took great care of us. I'll be back for the biscuits and great service!
